The wakizashi (Japanese: 脇差, “side inserted sword”,in reference to the practice of wearing this item inserted through one’s obi or sash at one’s side, whereas the larger tachi sword was worn slung from a cord) is one of the traditionally made Japanese swords worn by the samurai in feudal Japan.

• Hand forge, razors edge sharp, clay tempered, real hamon, hand sharpened, full tang, battle-ready swords.
• Heat treated and oil quenched, built for cutting, extremely sharp hand honed edge.
• Hamon and hardness created with temper process, traditional hand polished finish.
